I'm not so sure about the joys of digging thouh - I lean towards the no dig philosophy. While you guys appear to be enjoying the colour of fall - I'm taking in the colours of late spring and summer - either way - a big deep breath and time to watch nature brings much joy all year round.Tamarahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14635416571278107397noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4512516523018627966.post-16104151139136891842013-11-18T08:23:31.492+00:002013-11-18T08:23:31.492+00:00Oh Joan, what a shame you gave a Rachel Peden book...Oh Joan, what a shame you gave a Rachel Peden book away. If you like Gladys Taber you would like Rachel - she has a similar style, cosy and chatty, able to appreciate the small pleasures of everyday life which are often overlooked, and very observant about nature. I really like them both, but they don't seem to be well known here in the UK, which is a shame.Christine Hardinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09814026435889782750noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4512516523018627966.post-32088298980894461042013-11-17T12:31:08.177+00:002013-11-17T12:31:08.177+00:00And, once again, I've given away a book I now ...And, once again, I've given away a book I now wish I had! I had one of Rachel Peden's books for years but didn't know anything about her. I was weeding through a box of books and decided I'd probably never read it. Now I wish I had it! I've been a big fan of Gladys Taber's for years, since she wrote a magazine columns. I collect her books and love the cozy, chatty feeling of her books about the country, the dogs, Jill. joan.kylerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17015342608992682333noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4512516523018627966.post-59291392923292114092013-11-16T07:28:48.259+00:002013-11-16T07:28:48.259+00:00I'd rather eat gingerbread than dig soil!
